I got a letter from Professor Abzatdin Adamov, the Dean of the School of IT & Engineering (SITE) in ADA University in Azerbaijan. Prof. Adamov told me they are hiring many new faculty members.
I went to ADA University two years ago with a seminar that included Verilog, FPGA and ASIC design using FOSS tools. Their faculty and students are young, enthusiatic and willing to work. Many of them graduated from universities in the US and the UK. Baku is a safe city with a good quality of living, excellent restaurants and ancient art. Highly recommend: it is an opportunity to build a new engineering foundation in a country that is trying to diversify its oil and gas-based economy. They have good chances because Azerbaijan, just like all countries of the former Soviet Union, has many mathematically inclined students.
The positions Prof. Adamov is seeking to fill:
Center of the city on a cloudy winter day (you can google the center of Baku on a sunny day, but I was at that spot on a cloudy day):
Street art in Old City:
